Hi! I’m a policy analyst and writer who focuses on public finance, housing, and transportation, especially as they relate to urban issues.

I am Research Director at the Center for Tax and Budget Accountability in Chicago. Before that, I was Senior Fellow at City Observatory, and have written as a freelancer for outlets like The Atlantic, the Chicago Reader, and South Side Weekly, among others.

My first book, The Battle of Lincoln Park: Urban Renewal and Gentrification in Chicago, will be published by Belt Publishing in October 2018.
